When you email to make an appointment we will send you the next available dates. Once you have an appointment booked we will send you directions to our warehouse.
Please double-check the list of what we can and cannot accept (posted below) before bringing things, or email love2thriftyukon@ gmail.com if you aren't sure about something. We DO NOT have a dumpster at our warehouse and you will be asked to take away anything we can't accept.
We have a warehouse location in Kulan (across from Porter Creek) where all donations need to go.
When you schedule an appointment by email we will give you directions to our warehouse. Our staff and volunteers are ONLY there during scheduled appointment times. To stay on good terms with our neighbours and landlords we cannot have people leaving donations outside the building.
Please DO NOT bring donations while our store is open, we will not be able to accept them.
We accept things:
- by appointment at our warehouse
- by pre-arranged pick-up in most neighbourhoods
- at scheduled drop-off events that happen only when we have space and transport available (it will be posted here and on Facebook when we schedule a drop-off event)
Due to Easter and our AGM, this month we will be holding a clothing-only drop-off at our store location on Tuesday, April 22nd (Earth Day) from 5:00-7:00pm. Maximum 2 bags per person, that we can lift - please! If you can haul it into the store that doesn't mean that our volunteers will be able to lift it into the van later. Shoes and accessories are welcome but no non-clothing items at this event please. We do not have space or transport available for anything except clothing.
We are always accepting donations by appointment at our warehouse (usually Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday mornings) or by pre-arranged pick-up for anything from our acceptable list (see our Donate page). If you can't get to our warehouse during a weekday, we encourage you to arrange a pick-up time with our store van and driver. Scheduled pick-ups are much easier for us than drop-off days at our store.
For donation appointments at our warehouse or a pick-up, please email:
love2thriftyukon@ gmail.com
WCTS does not have room in our store for large furniture. We have space for small furniture like end tables, kitchen chairs, small bookcases. Please email us a picture (with dimensions) to see if it is something we are able to accept before you bring it to us.
If you are moving or have large amounts to donate please contact us well in advance (at least 2 weeks) to make special arrangements. We will do our best to accommodate you if space allows.
We can pick up donations from your home, but we need to know well in advance to coordinate with our driver and volunteers, and make sure we have enough space at our warehouse.
If you have garage sale leftovers you would like to give us, we prefer to send a team of our volunteers to pick up only the things we know we can sell in the store. We need at least two week's notice for all pick-ups so that we can be sure to reserve shelf space at our warehouse.
